always had a passion for cooking as little girl. The good feeling that
food provides with family and friends at gatherings filled with love,
laughter and delicious food influenced her to pursue a career in
culinary arts. She began her culinary career in New York City at The
Institute of Culinary Education. During the enrollment at I.C.E. Kathy
externed at the Judson Grill in New York City’s Time Square with Chef
Upon graduating from I.C.E. Kathy worked in kitchens all over New York City including renowned Chef Daniel Boulud’s “Daniel”.
recently Kathy has made her rounds in some of the best establishments
in Rockland County including Xaviars, serving as Chef de Cuisine with
Chef Peter Kelly.
During her tenure at Xaviars the restaurant held
the highest Zaggat rating and was awarded AOL top ten restaurants in the
country. Kathy was also featured with Chef Kelly on the Food Network
television show IRON CHEF where she assisted in the victory over Bobby
Fusion Café & Wine Bar is Kathy’s first solo venture.
Kathy has a vision of a partnership between chef and farmers. Fusions
menu incorporates fresh, local harvests from farmers markets during the
growing season as well as current harvests brought in from local
purveyors during the off season. Fusion’s menu is very diversified, you
also find daily features listed on our culinary and wine blackboard with
hand picked daily features for the day. Kathy takes care to preserve
the true flavors of ingredients with a simple rustic preparation,
enhanced with a global fusion twist.
